National OHV Appreciation Day 2003!
NOHVAD 2002 was very successful for being done on short notice. For 2003, we're working on a much larger scale now that we have time to better organize this special event. It will once again coincide with National Public Lands Day in order to show our support for keeping public lands open to the public. I urge everyone to take part in caring for your public land in any way you can. Picking up a little trash can go a long way in making these multi-use areas better for all of us!
I'll have more details up as they are available.
It all started last year as a spur of the moment idea that didn't quite have enough time to develope. This year, however, Robin, of Trailkrwalers 4x4 has made this dream a reality. Gaining the support of UFWDA, SWFWDA, Blue Ribbom Coallition, the American Motorcycle Association, Texas Off Road Network, and many, many more.

Get involved!
Get with your local clubs and OHV organizations today, and show that you take pride in our public lands. This national event is not limited to 4x4's. It is for every group that enjoys public lands and trail systems. Be it on foot or hoof, by land or waterway. Pitch in and show you care for our public lands and the environment! Please join us on September 28, 2002 |
Together as one, we can help keep public lands open for the public!

Ideas for 2003
One area we're looking at this year is education. Not only for the OHV folks, but the general public as well. Many people have no idea that 4x4 and OHV clubs pitch in to help care for the environment with events such as this. "Tread Lightly" will be the hot topic, along with public awareness of how little public land Texas actually has. |
